40+ Years of Expertise in Emergency and Obstetric Nursing

I am a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of diverse experience in healthcare. My career began in 1983, focusing on emergency medicine as an ER nurse in several Level 2 trauma hospitals for 16 years. After moving to Florida in 1999, I transitioned into OB/GYN nursing and, by 2005, advanced to the position of Manager/Director of the Women’s and Family Center at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River.

In 2010, I embarked on a travel nursing career, gaining valuable experience in labor and delivery, mother-baby, and NICU units across multiple states, including Alaska, California, New York, New Mexico, Montana, and Idaho. I currently hold licensure to practice in 37 U.S. states and the territory of Guam.

I am nationally certified as an instructor in the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) in the following: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), First Aid and AED, and Health and Safety Institute (HSI). I am also a certified instructor in both AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring (IFM/AFM) and the Safe Sitter program. My roles have included charge nurse, clinical coordinator, unit manager, and unit director, reflecting my leadership capabilities and dedication to improving patient outcomes.

With my broad range of expertise, I provide instruction in areas ranging from basic first aid, CPR, babysitting safety, to advanced certifications for RNs, including fetal monitoring. My teaching combines in-depth technical knowledge with decades of practical experience, in a relaxed and comfortable environment which ensures a high-quality, real-world education for all participants.
